Me: Sure... I'll make you *A* cup of tea... You can't say the cup of tea, it's not right -
Mom: No, you can make me the cup of tea. I don't want to be drinking any random cup of tea that some man walking on the street will be offering to me, I want this cup of tea.
Me: Well, I haven't made this cup of tea yet, so it doesn't really exist, but I can certainly make you a cup of tea.
Mom: It already exists in my imagination - I have already made it in my head, and it's just the most wonderful cup of tea ever. So I don't want a cup of tea, I want the cup of tea.
Me: Okay, here's your grammatically incorrect tea.
Mom: Anna, can you make me the cup of tea?
